Compare epoxy and polyaspartic floor coatings by preparation, cure time, UV exposure, finish and project requirements.
They are not interchangeable labels
Epoxy and polyaspartic products have different chemistries and performance characteristics. The better choice depends on the substrate, exposure, timing and specification.
Cure time matters
Some faster-curing systems can shorten return-to-service windows, while other systems allow different working times and build options. Product data and site conditions should guide the decision.
UV and exposure
Where sunlight or outdoor exposure is involved, UV stability of the complete system matters. Do not assume every resin coating is equally suited to external exposure.
Preparation still decides the foundation
No topcoat compensates for poor preparation. Grinding, cleaning and substrate assessment remain fundamental regardless of the resin family selected.
